Hehehe
I blame Durham for getting me hooked on Sluggy Freelance. I’ve been avoiding it for so long! But I know now that I should have just given in to the siren song of ONE more online comic.
I’m glad I finally did! But it’s been going since 1997. I’m finally in 2003, after a couple weeks of reading. Getting closer! I love the characters, and the crazy storylines. I WILL catch up!
Anyway, I wanted to bring to everyone’s attention this particular panel, because it has one of the best lines I’ve ever seen, and in Russian!
Check it! It’s in the center. The guy is yelling, “Ðй! ЛаÑка куÑает Ð¼ÐµÐ½Ñ Ð·Ð° лодыжки!” (My attempt at transliteration: “Aiee! Laska kusayet menya za loduizhki!”) Which is translated: “Ouch! A ferret* is beating me about the shins!” (*literally “weasel”)
It just makes me giggle.
Another thing that makes me giggle is the homicidal lop-eared rabbit named Bun-Bun, who carries a shiv and a huge chip on his furry little shoulders. He calls the ferret “tube rat”, which is enough to make me laugh just thinking about it.
But I’m easy that way.

I could have warned you. It’s incredibly addictive.
I’ve found that most people I know identify really well with at least one character in the strip.
