Things I REALLY REALLY want to review
I want to buy them so I can review them! I really really do. I also want to buy them so I can use them.
First thing: The Litter Robot
I REALLY DETEST cleaning the catbox. The deal when my husband wanted a cat was that HE would clean the catbox. Now he’s not here, and I have to clean it. Yuck. I’m not good at keeping up with it.
With the Litter Robot, you only have to empty a drawer. You probably have to clean parts every once in a while, but that’s still better than a whole litterbox every week, or a few times a week. Bleh.
Total cost, with tax and shipping (my tax estimate, FedEx shipping estimate): $400.14 (ouch, for a litter box)
Second (and third and fourth) thing(s): A couch, chair, and ottoman
I specifically want the Classic style (three-cushion couch) in the Altima Hickory Pet Care fabric (found in the next-to-last fabric section at the bottom).
Total price, with tax and shipping (my estimate, with their shipping costs): $921.24 (not bad at ALL for cushy sittin’ furniture!)
I can see it in my living room. I can imagine stretching out for once on the couch . . . It’s hard to have people over when there are only two one-person chairs in the room. I can also use all of them as storage. Finally, a place to put VHS tapes!
I’m thinking these purchases need to be made soon, even though they’re kind of expensive. But I HATE cleaning the catbox, and I’d LOVE to have a couch.
I might have to turn dreams into reality pretty soon . . .
*Sigh*

My household furniture goals:
To stop using rubbermaid bins as nightstands.
I want a full bedroom set when I get home. Est cost: $3,000. (I haven’t priced it quite as accurately as yours. I tend to like rounding….)
Also on my list is actually MOVING IN. We still have boxes everywhere and our wall hangings (pictures, landscapes, etc) never made it onto the walls. Perhaps after I come home, we can actually have people over….
Speare actually says that she ENJOYS cleaning the catbox. I told her that she was daft and welcome to it.

To Durham: I feel your pain! Our mattresses still sit on the floor. I have a little three-drawer bureau that the movers tweaked, so the drawers won’t pull in an out very easily and two of the knobs are broken, but it works well as a flat storage space near the bed.
I’ve never managed to get completely unpacked and organized, either. Just not something I’m good at, especially since we used to pack up and move every 6 to 12 months, anyway. I want to get completely unpacked in this house, and get it all decorated. It’s such an adorable house, I’d hate to never have anyone over the entire time I’m here because I never completely unpacked. AGAIN.
To Nick Burns: I still like the Litter Robot. That other one calls for special parts and continual replacement parts. I think it will cost me more over time than the Litter Robot will once. And it’s probably loud. Our friends had the “Litter Maid”, and it was loud and messy. I’ve never been a big fan of Fresh Step, anyway. Wal-Mart Cheap Stuff is better by FAR than any Fresh Step I’ve ever used.
But thanks for the link! Comparisons are always welcome.
